I don't like Reggie, but what did you expected him to say all this time? He has to sell the console. It's the same as MS trying to make DRM good, or Sony trying to make the Vita more appealing.

PR is PR, and should never been taking seriously in most cases.

I realise Nintendo hasn't made his job easy given WiiU has no clear demo grpahic other than Nintendo fans right now, but if anything they'd be better off trying to make it a casual hit. PR or not that's the vibe coming from Nintendo, they don't value or get the core and what it takes to appeal to them.

My point was that that attitude then trickles down and people start believing all Sony and MS machines have to offer is prettier graphics and that it's meaningless.

My argument was very clear: pretty graphics don't mean anything if good games aren't there. Never said or implied that Sony or MS only offer prettier graphics.

Also, just out of curiosity, what's your definition of "core" gamer?

I didn't say you did personally, I'm just off shooting the convo a bit, I've certainly heard others think it's fact.

There are many different definitions of "core gamer" but what I meant by that is yuor typical gamer who is on PS360 will not be impressed with WiiU hardware, online (in nearly all aspects) and third party offerings, simply because they don't stack up against the competition. Reggie was definitely hinting at the COD crowd around E3, the type that wouldn't go near a WiiU.

What is it, exactly, that is lacking about the online?
