Probably not much of a problem really.  Just an issue Anandtech had.  But as I noted that there are other drawbacks with TN that are solved with IPS.  They also have better color reproduction, are clearer, have more stable response times and do not introduce image artifacts or discoloration on touch panels when touched.

I think they were just using the viewing angle as their means of determining that it was a TN LCD rather than actually having a problem with the limited viewing angle itself.
