I am already a Vita owner and will get PS Vita TV, very useful for playing soul sacrifice at home with a friend without splitting the screen.

A lot of PS3 owners with PS Plus without a Vita might want to try it because it's cheap, there are a lot of people like me who barely play a PORTABLE outside the house. Ps Vita TV is still very portable compared to PS3 superslim.

I'll reverse your question: Why will people buy the expensive 12GB (that is a big problem for ALL games installations) PS3 (old gen console that will get fewer games than Vita in the next years) when there is PS Vita TV that is more affordable(also cheaper games) and a lot slimmer? (and I'm not yet talking about YLOD stuff, that clearly doesn't apply to Vita). (very late model ps3 slim 160GB Ylod on me)

EDIT: Gravity Rush in very early stages was intended as a PS3 game, it's also first party wich suggests it may become compatible, mapping functions to new buttons (L2,L3,R2,R3) and...don't forget DS3 HAS GYROSCOPES!

OK, I see where you're coming from. So for you this is kind of like a Gamecube Game Boy Player? It allows you to play the games you already enjoy on your handheld on a TV. It just seems expensive for that level of functionality.

As a Vita owner myself, I would just never recommend this product to someone interested in playing Vita games. Those games were designed, in most cases, with the Vita hardware in mind. Not to be played with a Dualshock controller on a TV. Plus, the raison d'etre of any handheld system is portability. You lose all that with Vita TV.
