It's not even a handheld anymore, like...at all.

It's still plays the same games and even has the same name. If 2DS counts in 3DS sales, then VITA.TV should count in Vita sales.

 

If we are going by this reasoning we have a Vita that has a bunch of features stripped off ( no portability, no touch, no screen) but it plays largely the same content (some Vita games are confirmed will not work). If we are going by largely the same content playable to be the deciding factor then 3DS sales should be added to DS sales since the 3DS plays DS content and then some. ~190mil? Also, Wii U should be added to Wii sales since the Wii U plays Wii games and then some. ~105mil.?

 

Name doesn't seem to be a problem either, I mean people are complaining nonstop that Wii U and 3DS are too similar in name to their predecessors and that people confuse them for accessories or iterations.
