The article highlights Apple's success and is using it at a disadvantage for Nintendo.  It is right in the sense that Apple can effect Nintendo but ignores that Nintendo's games have a bigger impact than mobile games.

Yes some games will be a success on mobile devices but Mario, Link, Pokemon, etc is iconic.  They stick in people and children's minds more.

If Apple were to be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin they would need to make more iconic games.  Can't just rely on Angry Birds.

Apple is a huge company and has been successful with games so it would also be odd to say they are not a threat to nintendo.  They just arent the death of nintendo like the article says.

Any company can die and that includes MSFT/Sony/Nintendo.  New competitors can join just like MSFT did 10 years ago, or nintendo decades ago.  Look at Sony now, came out of nowhere in the 90s.  So I would never say that Apple cant, i just dont think it is very likely.

Short version:  The article has some valid points but I dont agree with it either.

Yeah me neither but to be honest... Every time I read an article like this I fear a little for Nintendo. Apple is a giant and the hit the jackpot with the smarthpones... I know they don't have the power of Nintendo franchises but I can't help it xD
