Just because Nintendo didn`t have the same kind of approach as MS or Sony, doesn`t mean that they don`t do enough. Never before they talked to 3rd parties as soon as they did because of Wii U.
Nintendo probably did for them what they did to others and these others are making games for Wii U, so why can`t Bethesda? The reason is that they never intended to. Because if they did, they had the chance to do so when Nintendo approached them in the first place.
They didn`t like how they were approached? They didn`t like the specs of the machine? Ok. But that`s not really a mistake by Nintendo. They just were out of reach to begin with, then.
As people said, Nintendo did want to gather 3rd party support, to go after the core gamers - that`s why they didn`t go right after the casuals at launch and even now.
Nintendo has a way to do things. And one of those ways is that they don`t see specs as the main reason for success, so they don´t go that far. Of course, some will say it doesn`t matter, and others, like Bethesda, saw it does.
It`s a business decision. And so far it`s proven to work for Nintendo, when going for power or doing what others did, never worked for them (N64, GC).
