Unfortunately, I don't think it will end there.  The Xbox was more than +200% more powerful than the PS2, and people to this day will argue the reverse.  Even the GameCube was significantly more powerful than the PS2.   As was the N64 over the PS1 before that, people like to dish Nintendo for their hardware, but it's not always the case that theirs is the weakest.

Even back in December of last year,  there were talking about 'the untapped power of the cell.'  Like something they had been working on for nearly 10 years was going to magically get better overnight because of one tiny thing someone did.

But hopefully soon though, we will be able to talk more about games, an not hardware all the time.
