What will be the biggest ''innovation'' next gen on console?

well at least for digital games then.  Also I think they will.  Bluray drives will only get less expensive especially if you've got to build a box.  I can definitely see a discless version of both One and PS4 in a couple years for $50 less than the drive versions but I think the option will at least be there considering people still buy CDs and have disc drives in their computers and everything
