I don't think either Obama or Hillary can actually win against Guiliani or Fred Thompson ...
Its going to play out much like the last election, the left will vote for the democrat candidate regardless on who he/she is and or what he/she stands for while the right votes for the republican candidate regardless on who he is or what he stands for. The election is going to be won by capturing the votes of the moderates.
Guiliani/Thompson will focus on moderate Americans knowing full well that the religious right will vote for them because they fear "President Clinton/Obama." Clinton/Obama will run a campaign against "George Bush's America" which will play very well to the left but will miss the moderate voters because they understand that George Bush is not on the Ballot.
