Hmm... My biggest question about the XBone still remains. Will it have longevity?

This generation was already long enough. The 360 and PS3 will be on the market a good 9-10 years before support really dies off. People were screaming for next gen a few years ago, and now that It's out I'm sure It's here to stay for quite sometime.I think both the XB1 and PS4 will have a good 7+ years on the market just like before. Last gen has proven that game expenses are getting a tad bit high and most companies aren't willing to spend a lot of money on development. Look at how Square, Capcom, EA etc. are doing more and more phone/tablet games. The only wild card to me is Nintendo. If the Wii U doesn't take off with the price drop, more games, zelda bundle etc. in the face of the PS4/X1 then I can see Nintendo releasing another console in a few years which would be interesting.

I will add that they will push Illumi-room at some point, once this happens. I think xbox one will have a reboot and sales will explode.

illumi room wont happen.  its a hardware solution requiring projectors.

Thats one hell of an expensive peripheral.

But to the guy questioning longevity, when the 360 has lasted so long, I just roll my eyes.  This is just one of those old xbox arguments that get rolled out.

People forget the 360 has been out for a year longer and will celebrate its 8th birthday soon, entering its 9th year.

Why show it off?

Also I think they could make use out of people who don't use their kinect sensor. Make it so the The kinect plugs right into the device, essentially this would cut down cost and make the projector cheaper, while getting people to use their kinect sensor for something.  I would have to disagree. No reason to show it, if your not going to sell it at some point.
