Petitions happen all the time and for FAR more ridiculous things than simply wanting a third-party game to definitely come out instead of just waiting to see. Calling this some kind of 'new low' is low in itself. The reason Sony fans are aggressive for wanting this game is because its looks great, it's third-party published by EA which makes it very open to be released on Sony platforms, and it will be one less thing Microsoft fans can constantly hold over their heads. A lot of Sony fans would love to see Halo grace their platforms but they know that's never going to happen. It's not unusual for people to see at least one game on the platform of the competition that they would love to have on their own. Telling someone to "just buy Microsoft then" is missing the point of why these people haven't done that for Titanfall. It's because they want the kind of games PlayStation has while having a third-party game like Titanfall as well and because some indications have been made that the game could be released on PS3/PS4. They want Gran Turismo, Killzone, Infamous, God of War, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, and Titanfall. They don't want Fable, Forza, Halo, Crackdown, and Titanfall. They made their choice and they're happy with it. They just think having that game on it as well would be awesome and give them less of a reason to ever consider an Xbox One now or down the road. Many people don't have the money for two consoles anyways.
