Then Apple and Intel got involved and want it to be the display port.  But the Motion Picture liked HDMI for it's strong DRM.

But it will work with these consoles, I mean will it have the same plug?

Will HDMI 2 be the same plug as HDMI 1?

I really don't know, and would like to know that myself.  I think they would probably like to, but should also add some shielding.  Will it just be a different colour like USB? or something different? I think they should also have a 4K 3D standard too, but don't seem to as of yet.

Plus, they are still supposed to make a pure optical one, but that seems years away, again.
