There's nothing holding Vanquish together other than the constant barrage of bullets. You go to one large room, finish enemies off, then go to the next. Other than God Hand, that's one thing I don't like about any of Platinum Games' games. They're all flash, no substance. I own both Viewtiful Joe g ames, just haven't played them, but all the other games of theirs I've played, including the Bayonetta demo(just didn't sit right with me, so I never bothered with it.) |
im replying to the whole thing, i too think they are overrated, for the same reasons you said. The games they make arent bad, but their is not meat to them. Probably why they have such a small audience and i mean small. internet forum goers, like to blow them up like they have a Naughty Dog pedigree. WHen a Platinum game does those kinds of numbers then ill believe the hype.
