Somehow, it seems almost forunate that the baby died, what kind of life would a person with such an appearance have? 
I know a family who have a baby with Treacher Collins Syndrome, and they're very fond of the boy but not so much the constant staring and outright ridicule when out in public.
Its a shame, they're good people and the boy is a gem, but no one give him or them a break simply because of the way he looks.
