the main reason the Vita is doing horribly at the moment is because it doesn't have a lot of small/big games, unlike it's competitor, the 3DS.

but besides that, i think a really big issue with the Vita is the hardware itself.

like, the system itself was expensive before the Gamescom price cut, but still, it's more expensive than it's competitor, and those memory cards make things worse.

so here's my take on that hardware issue. the Vita needs a re-design that fixes this and more issues, at the top of my head, these are things than need to be added in a re-design:

1.support SD/Micro SD Cards. this is one of my biggest gripes with the Vita, those memory cards are terribly expensive, even after the price cut. i honestly don't know why Sony didn't just do this from the beginning, SD Cards are so damn cheap!

2.ATLEAST 2 GBs of INTERNAL memory, would it kill Sony to do this? adding atleast 2 GBs of memory alone would solve a lot of the complaints against this system.

3.PHYSICAL analog triggers, the back touchpad , IMO, is a horrible idea. i mean seriously, for games that would need analog triggers you need to change the way you're holding it which makes holding it pretty damn uncomfortable, and they can't put digital triggers now, some currently released games would not work correctly.

that's what i can think of for now, what do you guys think, does it need a re-design, and if so, what other changes do you want?

1. Bad idea in my opinion. Not only would it open up the possibilty of pirating, but it would remove a huge revenue stream for sony. The better solution would be to up the internal memory to 12GB ( flash memory is cheap, this'll cost them like $10)and keep their propriety memory cards for people who want to upgrade.

3. I agree they need R2/L2 triggers, don't understand the point about analog vs digital. Why would current games not work with digital triggers?
