Come now, another one of these threads? All of them so far have been "NO" outright, so why should this be any different?
For one, saying only 1mil for the Wii U for the rest of the year is crazy. If it sells the 35k it's been doing so far this year, up until November, you're saying it's going to average only 70k a week over the holiday period? That's ridiculous. I see 2mil for the Wii U being a good figure, likely more. So let's say 6mil for the end of the year.
The PS4 has 1mil pre-orders. Assuming every pre-order ends in a sale (highly unlikely), we could have a WW FW of, what, 1.5mil? That's still another 4.5mil to sell to beat the Wii U, and even if Sony could create this many units (which I doubt), I don't think that, with the XOne coming out at the same time, and with the high prices compared to the current gen systems and now the Wii U, will 4.5 million "average" people who haven't pre-ordered a system buy a PS4? I think the answer to this question is obvious.
These kinds of threads do absolutely nothing, particularly when there's been identical threads to this one in the past. All they do is carry the hype and provide "ammunition" for some to use if the system loses momentum in the future. I just don't see what discussion could be created from this kind of thread at this point, I'm afraid. So what is it here for?
So please. Can we have no more of these threads until the system launches?
