Ni No Kuni DS launched 1st and the PS3 version came out like a year later. They had to make sure that the DS version would be taken seriously because nobody would've took it seriously if the DS and PS3 versions came out at thrthe same time. The majority would've just bought it on PS3 since it was the bigger and better looking version while reviewers would've criticised the DS version more being that the PS3 version would've been right there to compare it to
