September - 1 million
October - 1 million
November - 1 million

5.5 million shipped this year?

Semms like Sony really increased the forecast to PS4.

Edit - Fixed numbers due the prodcution reach 1 million in September.

And what I said is wrong? Sony said they plan to reach 1 million per month in September so I did predicted the Sony shipment for PS4 in 2013.

Now some info for you...

+ The preorder is bigger than 1 million
+ Every company reserve a number of units to stores... so if before the launch there are 1 millon real preorders then Sony shipped close to 2 million (1 million to meet the day one preorders and 1 million to say one at stores)
+ The Production needs at least 10 days to reach the stores (to get shipped status)... so the Production in late December will reach the stores only in January.

Now with the recent news 5.5 million produced in 2013 seems a bit low... I'm going to close 7 million if they can increase the production over 1 million after September.
