In a weird way, yes. Cheaper is cool (XL is too pricey and comes without charger!), it looks most comfortable to hold of all the models, looks kinda neat in the square pouch...
No 3D means you won't get the full experience out of Zelda:ALBW and other upcoming titles. That said, the 3DS's 3D does still feel unfinished, with its super narrow sweet spot.
What I was actually hoping for is a revamped 3DS sometime soon, sort of the 3DS 'lite': Better 3D tech, battery and ergonomy. Won't buy the 2DS, but the 3DS XL doesn't quite seal the deal for me either, so far.

Edit: Street price will be really low though, once all the mail order shops have it in store. Can see it selling for as low as 100-120€. Which is really compelling.
