The 2DS is brilliant, from a business perspective. It captures all those consumers who didn't plan on buying a 3DS anytime soon due to the high price barrier. 3DS's are still $169 and aren't likely to drop anytime soon, especially with this latest re-design.
I don't see all the problems with it that everyone else sees. It's a stripped-down 3DS that is cheap to manufacture and thus costs less at retail. I don't understand all the tweeking out about it on the internet.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.
