Fast food is hard, stressful work. I hope that I never have to work it again and I'm not saying that just because of the salary.
I've also got to say that I love the "go to school and you'll get a better job" line. Because it's just that easy. It's not like college graduates are looking for work, either, thank goodness. |
I've worked in retail before. Wal Mart in Atlanta, Georgia. Worst job I ever had in my entire life and I've built trailers for less than $6 before! That was another job that paid next to nothing and I dreaded going there every single day. I respect any job that requires people to deal with the public. People are horrible. I never went to college, by the way. I do make a pretty swell living. I'm not commenting from a place of hate. I'm commenting from experience. I know prison inmates that were pretty much un-hireable. They did what they had to do to survive like becoming truck drivers or factory workers. There's work out there. It may not be what people want but sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do to make your life what you want it to be.

Ive done roofing at 10 dollars an hour a couple years ago. Carrying 80lbs of shingles up two stories is harder than anything McDonalds employees have to do. Ive also been a store manager at a fast food resturaunt and made 36k a year.... working 60 hours a week which comes out to be 11.50 an hour
