Good for you but failure rates where just as bad. i had 4 break on me.
Later PS2 where fixed just like xbox 360 but where never warrantied like xbox. Why I will never go to sony again. If they have the problem again they already proved they will not cover it. It's not secret PS2 had very high failure rates early on in the gen.
