Very nice news!

It's not, though, as there not even a slight confirmation of it (them being 100% exclusive to Nintendo, 2nd party doesn't mean that). In fact, I'm taking the 100% pessissimstic road and say that isn't happenin'.

So the news is that PG wants to be 2nd party, not that they are 2nd party.

That may be good news to him.

No news is good news? OK.

The exact quote is something a team can do while still retaining their 3rd party status (working closer with a company). Even then, no point in jumping up and down before this happens, especially without any word from Nintendo.

You're what I'd call not a positive person. It's nice news because it shows a improving relationship between developers and Nintendo that don't cater directly to Nintendo's main target market. The older I get the less impressive I find western developers and the more impressed I am with Japanese games for their out of the box thinking and implementation. If it happens, then I'll be even more happy with my Wii U purchase, if it doesn't, I'll still buy their titles on the Wii U and the PS4.
