You mean Dead Space 2, right? I remember I was so conservative with ammo in Dead Space 1. It wasn't super scarce but still not in abundance. Hopefully ammo is scarce in Dead Space 2 too. I don't remember what dificulty level I played it at. I I remember correctly it was a fair challenge even at normal. Dead Space does have several difficulty levels, doesn't it? |
The ammo is more scarce in dead space 2. And slightly less exploitable. IMO atleast, there's varying opinions. The first Two Dead Spaces are actually hard (but fair) on Impossible and Dead Space 3 is just sort like the first 2 games on normal. But this is why.
In DS1 if you carried only 1 or 2 weapons and only ammo for the guns you have it would drop only ammo for the weapons you have. And then since you didn't have the other weapons you could use it on more ammo for one weapon or health packs. In DS2, it has some drops for weapons you do not have. They both use a dynamic ammo drop system.
DS2 isn't quite the same. It's paced differently (IMO better). It has sections with more action (There's some questionable things added like say Halo Jumps). It has what probably one of the creepiest sections in Dead Space and longest section with no action (according to a lot DS fans). It also has actual space walking instead of the point and jump system.
