It is. It only just surpassed the 360 a couple of months ago, in fact, Sony still hasn't even made an official statement about that yet. That statement is true for %99 of this gen. More importantly, you're forgetting the Wii... It says hi.

That bolded statement can be debated, as it is being by others. In addition, focusing only on one part of one generation as some kind of 'proof' that the PS4 is outselling the XOne because it's cheaper is not good reasoning. It's also belittling the fact that a great many people are buying the PS4 because of what it is compared to the competition. Not simply because it's cheaper. At the rate the PS4 is going it will easily surpass the Wii U which is a cheaper product. Obviously, the price wouldn't be the reason the PS4 outsold it. Just like it wasn't the reason the PlayStation 2 and Xbox outsold the Gamecube, or why the PlayStation outsold the Nintendo 64, or why the SNES outsold the Genesis. I could go on and even dive into other industries if need be or other parts of this industry. Price is one reason the PS4 is outselling the XOne. To make it sound like it is the only reason is ridiculous, though. Let us also consider that indications in Europe place the PS4 far ahead of the XOne by comparison to the North American market. If the gaps in Europe are true, I can assure you that dropping the XOne to an even price would still see the XOne behind. I don't even think I need to mention Japan. We couldn't even be certain by how much the XOne would catch up. To say that it would be even or the XOne would be ahead would be an prediction based on little more than personal bias.


Great post. Obviously the "It's cheaper" bs is coming from other camps.. Wii-u is cheaper. 360 was cheaper...many reasons people buy a product, pirce is just 1. Many look at many features before deciding. Anyone who says it is just because it is cheaper is calling every stupid?
