It is. It only just surpassed the 360 a couple of months ago, in fact, Sony still hasn't even made an official statement about that yet. That statement is true for %99 of this gen. More importantly, you're forgetting the Wii... It says hi.

The PS3 outsold the 360 every year since it came out. It just took Sony a while to overcome that 1 year headstart. The Wii hasn't been selling well for a while now so non-issue.

I didn't say otherwise... I said it just surpassed the 360, nothing about a year head-start. It also didn't outsell te 360 every year. Go look for yourself.

You're right - there are 2 years where the 360 sold more:

Year - 360 v PS3

2007 - 7.3 v 8.7

2008 - 10.8 v 10.7

2009 - 10.2 v 12.4

2010 - 12.1 v 14.4

2011 - 14.9 v 14.1

2012 - 10.1 v 15 (includes 3 Quarters of PS2)
