DS/Wii hardware and software is pure profit plus 3DS is selling at a profit and i assume the 2DS will as well. 3DS software is selling great plus Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Zelda, Mario Party are coming and will sell alot. Also Wii U will soon have some big selling titles like 3D Mario, DKC, Wii Fit, Wii Party and Wind Waker HD. All those things will cancel out Wii U hardware losses big time.

Could be, but pricing at $299 would probably bring them back to the losses they were losing from when they initially launched the console, perhaps even worse. Plus, I don't think 3DS/2DS will sell enough to bring them "Nintendo-like profits" like they want. Not saying they won't completely cancel out the losses, but they won't be very profitable considering how they are still selling at a loss today at 350$, 299$ would just add to the losses. But we'll see, always pleased to see surprises! :)
