I'm amazed to see this kind of rationale from you. 3D... what do you need to be able to navigate in 3D worlds? A manual camera... for wich you need a second analog. 3D games need a second analog. Its that simple.

You don't need a manual camera to navigate in 3D worlds. It's just a matter of design and games like Super Mario 3D Land and Luigi's Mansion 2 prove that.

Also, it's not like the 3DS is going to get many games that actually demand full manual camera control. There is Monster Hunter and virtually nothing else, and even that works with touchscreen controls for the camera. Complex 3D games aren't in high demand on handhelds anyway, so there's really not much of a point in adding a second Circle Pad. Aside from a tiny minority, nobody is going to miss it.

Just cause a few can manage an exception doesnt mean the rule isnt true. The touchscreen controls are helpful but very unprecise and unresponsive.

I think we get less free roaming 3D titles exactly because theres no second analog nub in the system.
