Yeah, the one big thing they did was go with carts instead of CD's. That was dumb, and allowed Sony to get the bulk of the 3rd party market. The rest of the article is mostly garbage. They were a bit of a bitch to deal iwht in the NES days, but that didn't have much lasting effect. Nintendo does have a history of not accomodating 3rd parties, but that's generally a good business decision. Gamers may like XBox's and PS's but those systems don't make money, and building a system to the specs 3rd parties want is a bad decision if you actually need to make money. Nintendo's big problem now is the Wii U isn't selling enough, a couple 3rd parties would rather a Nintendo-free world (EA) and their competitors are willing to make money-losing machines that meet the specs that third parties want. Nintendo should just buy a couple 3rd parties and go all first party.
