I dont think the past has to have a huge bearing on the present in regard to the 3rd party support. I just think with the Wii U, nintendos vision is at odd with the ways most people like to experience 3rd party games and with how 3rd parties wanna make their games. Who would choose to play a game like FFXV on the wii u instead of the PS4-X1. Very few people, so wii u 3rd party titles of these big budget games will always suffer. Its not a case of people wanting the most powerful system either, hence ps2 success. But people want to see a generational leap.

Also people should realise that all the big devs want better, more powerful hardware. The only reason why they still have ps3-360 games in the pipeline is because that is where ALL the money is and it will pretty much remain that way until PS4-X1 have solid userbases.

The Wii U doesnt have the userbase or the power so there is very little incentive.
