@ktay95 and liquorandgunfun this isn't new they have had achievement for non gaming stuff for ages on 360.... it's not like you get a 1000 points... but you get points for participating in programs, for being first adopter of something, for preordering etc... I don't see anything shocking about rewarding your most dedicated customers and your employees in that case.... I find it quite logical.... I'm not big on achievement I like my score but I never look for the 1000... but there are many times I participated in MS programs because they were giving me avatar stuff and an achievement....

It really isn't that big of a deal to me.  Heck, it's no deal at all!  I just wanted to make a "Special/Retarded" comment.  With that said, I can't think of any example of Achievements like the one you mentioned.  Can you point me out to one?

there voice studio has 4 achievements for 50 pts for doing the voice calibration of the kinect (it's an app)
you have achievements in apps from kinect fun labs but that can be considered games I dunno
and the one I was talking about was "Xbox LIVE labs" you can get 3 achievement for 0 points and it was for running the Xbox LIVE lab for 30 min, 1 hour, 6 hours and you got free avatar stuff with it...

I'm not saying it's common but it does exist and usually it doesn't really impact a gamerscore... it's just self congratulating stuff for the fans... like the day one achievement... it makes people feel good about themselves among the community.... I didn't care for the achievement really more about the avatar stuff and supporting MS in providing a better quality service...

Yeah, I got like all of those Voice studio Achievements.  Just had to keep reading what appeared on screen.  But yeah, I see what you mean.
