Studio as in Video or Music editing/creation etc? What software will it use specifically? It might actually be wiser to go Socket 2011 depending on how demanding it is and throw some overclocking at the performance problem, combined with double the amount of Ram.
Also, what kind of Monitor will this machine be using? It's all well and good to run multiple GPU's, but if you are only going to be gaming at 1920x1080 (1080P), then it's going to be a waste.
