This is how I see this thread:

OP: Miyazaki makes anti war film.

Other users: Respect for Miyazaki.

You: China is evil and nationalism is in every country.

I seriously do not understand where you're going with this, nobody has ever said that China or the USA is better than Japan, and nobody has ever said that only Japan has issues with nationalism, this thread is about Miyazaki, people were just expressing their opinions about the man until you started to turn it into a debate of politics and history, I don't need to be an expert of either field to know that anti war sentiment is always worth encouraging, and an artist who tries to promote peace through his work deserves respect regardless of his political belief.

Finally stop spinning everything towards China, (again) nobody thinks of Chinese government as saints, everyone is aware of what they've done and they are being bashed left right and centre everyday by western media and every human rights organisation in the world, but Japanese politicians hold as much (if not more) responsiblity for causing anti Japanese sentiments in China and Korea as anyone else, how would peopel of Isreal feel if German government erects a monument for Nazi war criminals and house them like heroes ? You're so defensive on this matter you sound like a nationalist yourself.

I'm sorry but you don't know what you are talking about. No one in Japan is criticizing Miyazaki for making an anti-war film. As I said before, he caused the controversy and criticism because of his ignorance about past Japanese apologies, and because of his stupid policies on the Senkaku Islands. He brought it on himself and it has nothing to do with the film's content. Ironically, South Korean people have been accusing this film of glorifying the war and Miyazaki had to hold a press conference for South Korean reporters to defend himself. South Korea has even banned Studio Ghibli's "Grave of Fireflies" because they don't want people to sympathize Japanese war victims.

I'm sorry if I came out a little agressive, but you seem to have difficulty understanding other people's posts, nowhere did I ever say that Miyazaki's political viewpoint is absolutely right, nor did I even mention the islands in my posts, I also never said that your posts were incorrect in any ways because everyone is entitled to their own opinions, lastly I wasn't even trying to defend Miyazaki or his film, I was merely expressing my opinion. You just keep replying to posts that never existed, first with Mr Khan now with me.

What I WAS trying to say is that this thread is about Miyazaki, if you have issues with him, you can simply say it, without pushing your political belief and flaming other countries in the process, that was uncalled for, attitude like that was what caused the problem in the first place, both sides think they're absolutely right and the other side is made of evil.

Regardless of what you think, I think this silly conversation has gone on long enough, arguments like this never get anywhere, so I'll just stop it here. Have a nice day.
