I'm sorry but you don't know what you are talking about. No one in Japan is criticizing Miyazaki for making an anti-war film. As I said before, he caused the controversy and criticism because of his ignorance about past Japanese apologies, and because of his stupid policies on the Senkaku Islands. He brought it on himself and it has nothing to do with the film's content. Ironically, South Korean people have been accusing this film of glorifying the war and Miyazaki had to hold a press conference for South Korean reporters to defend himself. South Korea has even banned Studio Ghibli's "Grave of Fireflies" because they don't want people to sympathize Japanese war victims. |
I'm sorry if I came out a little agressive, but you seem to have difficulty understanding other people's posts, nowhere did I ever say that Miyazaki's political viewpoint is absolutely right, nor did I even mention the islands in my posts, I also never said that your posts were incorrect in any ways because everyone is entitled to their own opinions, lastly I wasn't even trying to defend Miyazaki or his film, I was merely expressing my opinion. You just keep replying to posts that never existed, first with Mr Khan now with me.
What I WAS trying to say is that this thread is about Miyazaki, if you have issues with him, you can simply say it, without pushing your political belief and flaming other countries in the process, that was uncalled for, attitude like that was what caused the problem in the first place, both sides think they're absolutely right and the other side is made of evil.
Regardless of what you think, I think this silly conversation has gone on long enough, arguments like this never get anywhere, so I'll just stop it here. Have a nice day.
