The only people who would know about the price drop are those who followed the news from Gamecomm which if you live in the US only the "hardcore" gamers did, so there was no noticeable jump in my area. Since my area is one of those that restricted the flow of units, I doubt it did unless Wal-Mart, etc stocked them, which I don't think they did.
