In sony case tough, (almost) never a solo activist investor (and even more a westerner) could change a japanese business. They trust a lot more the CEO, and investors are more like bankers trying to get their money back rather than actors in the enterprise.

Doesn't matter,they can keep dreaming

They can turn it into reality easily, by firing any CEO not wanting to sell xbox brand until one make it either profitable or accept.
