thing is, xbox one has kinect and if we look at the production costs microsoft will probably bleed more money than sony with every sold console.

pretty easy calculation, xbox one is more expensive but does also cost more to produce which makes the deal as fair as the ps4 price.

if you don't want kinect just don't buy the console but if you are fine with it you will also understand that the price has to be higher.

not sure what's so hard to understand with that looking at the production costs.

How much do the consoles cost to make? Surely Kinect does not cost 100+ Euros to make.

no but 50 (fifa, you know )

but to be serious, i believe i read a few times that microsoft will probably lose more per sold console as sony will but not 100% sure. i believe kinect 2 is very expensive and this time microsoft uses own tech and not the tech of that company from israel so r&d was probably also very expensvie.

thing is, both companies have probably a very fair price for what they sell you. if you don't want kinect it is obviously bad that you have to pay for it but you simply have to sell it with every console if you really want to see it used by all the developers (if for apps, games or whatever else)

people should just see it as part of the console and not as extra device. if you don't like the full package don't buy it but accept that the console and kinect 2 was planned for the full experience.
