Because Media Create and Famitsu and VGChartz sometimes are off by so much it can get funny. But nobody ever brings it up. Surprisingly.
And NPD has no competetion. So by not accepting them as correct we make ourselves competition. And since we were quoted in the World Record book, we can be considered competition. That and we just can't admit we're wrong.
