they didnt reject it, they just didnt care about it, like, at all

Well there are just two original games that use the darn thing in a interesting manner in the opening launch window... it is hard to care.  Nintendo just failed to have software that makes people care, can't expect people to support a system just because it offers a new way to go on a social network while playing games.
