The Kinect being a major part of most games is the biggest turn off for me, right now. 

How is Kinect a major part of most games?  It seems more likely, that Kinect will give additional features, but not required features.  Really, Kinect being a required compnenet just ensures that a developer who is interested in making Kinect focused games can do so knowing the install base is there.  You wouldn't have to buy a Kinect game.


Me personally, seeing the new Kinect features is actually making me want to buy an Xbox One in 2014 where a week ago I actually didn't want to buy either the One or the PS4.  So, while Kinect is a difference maker for me, I can see why some people wouldn't want to pay an extra $100 for a peripheral that they don't want.  I hope Kinect 2.0 attracts more buyers than it pushes away.
