^ Ask yourself why there would be a shortage in the first place. Are DVD's that hard to produce?? No, they cost pennies. The biggest first day sales for a videogame was last year with Halo3 and all you had to do was goto Best Buy. They had stands up front right when you entered the building. There is no need to pre-order unless you get someting in return. Like a shirt, or a reduced price, or some kind of special bonus.

Heh. Well, there are games that the store I go to anyway, only orders enough for the pre-orders. One being Star Trek Legacy on the 360. I really like that game. But apparently it was barely in demand, and only pre-orders were filled, and the store doesn't carry the game otherwise. So, there was definitely a reason to pre-order that one. I never noticed the game anywhere else close to me either.

And next, I'm not sure why your trying to convince me, it's for some reason inconvienent for me to pay for a game in advance while I'm in the store anyway. Doesn't take any more effort on my part. And then I don't have to research if a game will be in demand, or sold out, or whatever. No more effert on my part, and some minor issues get avoided.
