Well more proof that Nintendo really isn't even trying in regards to the Wii U at least in regards to Japan... which is understandable but really a poor showing. If they were worried about it having a poor physical retail showing like most console retail in Japan, they should have done something different. Announce the initial shipment is a early release limited edition version with some sort of bonus/prize or if it is retailers that aren't biting promote the consumer getting the eShop digital copy.
Just having a weak initial shipment of 30K is almost an insult to Platinum for the work they clearly put into this game. You'd think after Pikmin 3 had such a decent showing they'd recognize that the Wii U install base they do have might be hungry and give even a new IP like Wonderful 101 a shot.
