No worries man. You were mostly making really good points, and have been quite often lately.  Keep it up. 

I have no ideas either, they might have just sent out what they had availible.  I don't think they would let the press hack it too much anyway (But someone crafty might!)  Yes, you want the press to have the same thing the customers get.  Otherwise they can't really write fair reviews.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
