It's not a matter of tin-foil, a reducto ad absurdum argument that's a convenient way of getting to avoid the long discourse on the peculiarities of third party relations with Nintendo.

Nintendo does a lot of stuff wrong. How they treat third parties is not one of them, lest they have become so spoiled indeed that they expect free money from the console manufacturers just for existing (in which case, if not moneyhatting is what's wrong, i'd rather Nintendo not be right).

And yes, Nintendo has made great strides towards courting indie developers, and has done so from the beginning. Many of the blowhards in the indie group (though i'm willing to admit i know nothing about Notch or Mojang) are ascendent core gamers who would love nothing more than to shit on Nintendo (Phil Fish)
