At this point I think their goal is more likely to just break-even, not to profit. They are giving the platform some support hoping sales will start to pick up sooner or later. But unfortunatly I don't think this will happen unless Nintendo cuts the price and makes some more alluring bundle.
A 299$ bundle (32GB) whith Mario Bros U and Nintendo Land should do it for christmas.
