Journey is as much a moneyhat as the things some people cry about MS doing. They paid a 3rd party company to make a game and took over the IP in return. People here have criticized MS for doing the same thing. It is adorable how studio size and such only comes into play for Sony though. Like I said, never change.

Self publishing is irrelevant. If the exclusive aspect were merely self publishing then Sony wouldn't have the ability to promote the games as "debuting exclusively first on PS4".

Hope those helped.

Journey was published by Sony.  Thatgamecompany was at the time a 2nd party studio.  They are now an indie developer.

Not the same case with Titanfall, a 3rd party studio getting published by a 3rd party publisher.

Like the other guy providing lulz, you're missing the point. I don't have a problem with Sony moneyhatting thatgamecompany, I don't have any issue with what they do. But the things some people whine about MS doing, is the same things Sony does. It's only an issue when MS does it.

You see people here saying MS moneyhatted games like Dead Rising 3 and Minecraft, among others. That's the exact same situation as thatgamecompany. MS publishes those games. The only difference is thatgamecompany was contracted to provide Sony with more than 1 exclusive. On their scale of butthurt, it should rank even higher than Capcom providing one game, etc. But there isn't a peep.

Not to mention, Sony made their break in the industry the same way as MS. Throwing around tons of money for exclusive content and being able and willing to lose tons of their cash hand over fist on underpriced hardware. It would be nice every now and again to read a thread about a MS exclusive without seeing people whining about MS spending money.
