It could very well be a sequel to Xenoblade. Maybe not a sequel in the sense that it features the characters from the game, or follows immediately after, but in the sense that sequentially, it takes place in the world after Xenoblade. Someone suspiciously similar to Shulk is in the first teaser, after all, and I think there are other signs too.
