Is multiplayer crippling Mario 3D World's level design?

That level looked great, but it still pales in comparison to the creativity of the Super Mario Galaxy 2 levels.

I have no doubt that the game will be great, but I just feel that it will fall short of Galaxy's quality, I really hope I'm wrong but it seems unlikely that I am.

I don't think this is going to be as good as Galaxy or Galaxy 2.  Then again, I don't think any game has been as good as Galaxy or Galaxy 2 in the history of gaming.  There is a big difference between not as good as Galaxy and not a good game or not a creative game. 

I actually was pretty lukewarm on 3D World until I played it.  The game is really chaotic in a good way and is actually the complete opposite of barren.  There was something going on at pretty much every second of the game.  The multiplayer component works really well, and is actually a lot better than it was in NSMB.  It just works better in 3D where you're not always in people's direct path.  Levels were all unique and fun, and Cat Mario is freaking adorable.

It's not Mario Galaxy 3.  It's not the huge first player epic some people may have wanted, and it's not a revolutionary genre defining game.  It is however, really fun, and for anyone who has someone to play with, it's a unique Mario experience.
