The Colecovision has Donkey Kong as a pack-in.  Not sure you can say Donkey Kong is the big deal.  Super Mario Bros. had to do something of interest to people, that got it interested.  To deny that Super Mario Bros. wasn't significant is pushing it.

Oh, dear lord.  Look, I'm sorry, it was all Mario.  No one cared about any of the other games, right from the start, even before anyone had played a single NES, everyone only cared about Mario.  All the rest of the games combined were complete failures.  There you go.
