According to VGC, GTAIV had a combined sales number of 20.22m on consoles or 20.96m if the PC numbers are accurate. Personally I'm fairly certain GTA5 will do a little bit less, due to it being the end of the generation. I could get really close !

Just to correct something, GTAIV sold 25 million copies. GTAV is expected to sell more than GTAIV thanks to a bigger userbase this time around.

Okay that would confirm the VGC PC numbers being grossly inaccurate...

Pokémon's not going to reach 25m for sure.

VGC only tracks physical sales. When considering everyone buys digital on PC, it's not by any means a stretch to think that millions of digital copies could've been sold through Steam sales alone.
