Once,
I got a cellphone in 1997 and recieved a cell phone call while leaving a 24 hour grocery market in Medford NJ. It was 12 at night and since I wasn't used to driving while talking on the cell phone I talked while standing next my car for around 30 minutes or so. When I got ready to leave a spotlight spun past me and when I opened the door I felt a hand on my shoulder. The cop told me to back away from the car and accused me of resisting arrest because I ignored the spotlight(which I know was BS). Than 2 more cop cars showed up and the accused em of casing stores on the phone and had me in handcuffs with my pockets emptied and held me there for 45 minutes then they let em go without any charges.
It actually infuriated me for many months afterwords. Especially since stuff like this seemed to happen in Medford NJ quite a bit of a time. While I always respect cops for the most part I am much more vocal now when I see cops doing f'd up stuff like that...almost got arrested again when I saw cops doing something similiar to a stranger once. Such is life.
